'I have sworn,' said Culcianus. 'Now you swear.'
'We are not permitted to swear,' said Phileas. 'For the holy and divine Scriptures say: 'Let your yes be yes and your no be no.'
Culcianus said: 'You have never sworn, then?'
'If I did,' said Phileas, 'I sinned.'
'Then sin now,' said Culcianus.
Phileas said: 'There are differences in sins.'
